The Original Scraper Bike Team was founded by Tyrone “Baybe Champ” Stevenson Jr., aka Scraper Bike King, in 2006 in Oakland, California. To me, it’s very DIY and reminds me of the hot rods from back in the day. That old fashioned low brow art of kids and adults having fun tricking out their rides. A few years ago, the city of Oakland painted a bike line down the middle of 90th from MacArthur to International Blvd. It’s bright orange with designs of the wheels throughout. It’s really rad, I highly recommend checking it out. So Oakland.
