February 9th - The Pointer Sisters

Did you know they were a 4 Piece, that won their first Grammy for a country song “Fairytale”, in 1975? They have a Star on the Hollywood Walk of fame, as they should, and when I was a teenager I definitely had a crush on them. They made me, Jump. Ha. Dumb joke. All four sisters are from Oakland and stayed a 4 piece for about 5 years. 1972 - 1977. If you ever find yourself around pier 39, in San Francisco, check out Umbrella Alley. They have a California mural where I was fortunate to do a painting in the A. I painted Bay Area artists, including the Pointer Sisters. That’s when I found out there were 4 of them originally.
